Full FAQ
How much does a Mercedes Sprinter van rental cost in NYC?
+
A standard Mercedes Sprinter van in New York City costs $200/hour with a 3-hour minimum ($600 total minimum) or $600 flat-rate for one-way airport transfers between Manhattan and JFK or LGA ($650 for EWR and TEB). Executive Sprinter trims start at $225/hour.
How many passengers fit in your Sprinter vans?
+
Our standard Mercedes Sprinter carries 10-14 passengers with room for 14 bags of luggage. The Executive Sprinter (conference layout with worktables) is configured for 9-10 passengers plus gear. Over 14, we pair two sprinters on a single contract.
Do you service JFK, LaGuardia, Newark, and Teterboro?
+
Yes, all four NYC-area airports. JFK from $600, LGA from $600, EWR from $650, TEB from $650. Every airport transfer includes meet-and-greet at baggage claim, flight tracking, and 60 minutes of complimentary wait time.
Do your rates surge in bad weather or during holidays?
+
No. Every Mercedes Sprinter NYC rate is flat and locked at booking. Rain, snow, holidays, 5 PM Friday rush, the price you see is the price you pay. Uber Black can surge 2-3x in a Northeast snowstorm; we do not.
How far in advance should I book a Sprinter?
+
For weekday corporate work, 24-48 hours is usually enough. For weddings, summer Hamptons weekends, the U.S. Open, the NYC Marathon, New Year's Eve, or anything inside Fashion Week, book 2-4 weeks ahead. Same-day availability exists, use online booking directly.
Is gratuity included in the price?
+
Yes, standard 20% gratuity is included in flat-rate quotes for airport, long-distance, and wedding transportation. Hourly corporate bookings display gratuity as a separate line item so finance teams can account for it cleanly. Additional tip is welcome but never expected.
Can I book multiple Sprinters on one contract?
+
Yes. Multi-vehicle bookings are routine for us, weddings, tech offsites, investor days, and convention groups often run 2-4 Sprinters on a single contract with one point of contact and one invoice.
Do you offer corporate accounts with NET-30 invoicing?
+
Yes. Corporate accounts include NET-30 billing, a dedicated account manager, direct-booking tools for assistants, priority availability during earnings and conference weeks, and consolidated monthly invoicing. Email info@mercedessprinternyc.com to open an account.
Can I book a Sprinter for a Hudson Valley or North Fork wine tour?
+
Yes. Full-day wine tour sprinters depart Manhattan weekend mornings and return by 7-8 PM. Typical pricing is $1,400 flat for up to 8 hours with 3-4 wineries and one lunch stop. Dispatch helps arrange the winery reservations.
What happens if my flight is delayed?
+
We track every flight in real time. If you're delayed, the chauffeur re-stages. You are not charged for the delay wait time, the first 60 minutes post-arrival is complimentary, and we use flight tracking, not your original ETA, to time the pickup.
Can I make multiple stops on an hourly Sprinter booking?
+
Yes. Hourly sprinter service supports unlimited stops within the booked time. Common patterns include multi-stop roadshows (8-12 stops in Midtown and downtown), wedding venue coordination, and multi-winery tours in Hudson Valley or the North Fork.
Are your Sprinters and chauffeurs properly licensed and insured?
+
Yes. Every chauffeur holds an active NY TLC FHV license, is background-checked and drug-tested. Every Sprinter is insured under commercial livery policy at or above federal minimums, DOT inspected annually, and serviced every 5,000 miles.
Do you have child seats?
+
Yes, infant, toddler, and booster seats available on request. Add the number and type of seats at booking. There is no upcharge for child seats on sprinter reservations.
Can a Sprinter handle oversized luggage, golf bags, ski gear, production equipment?
+
Yes. The Mercedes Sprinter has approximately 45 cubic feet of rear cargo space with the last row unfolded. Golf bags (two per passenger), ski and snowboard bags, full production gear, all handled routinely. Tell dispatch your cargo count and we size the right trim.
Do you pick up from the Port of NY & NJ cruise terminals?
+
Yes. Manhattan Cruise Terminal (Piers 88/90), Brooklyn Cruise Terminal (Red Hook), and Cape Liberty (Bayonne, NJ) are all covered. Sprinter cruise transfers are flat-rate, same pricing model as airport transfers.
Can I book a Sprinter for a bachelor or bachelorette party?
+
Absolutely, Atlantic City weekends, Hamptons bachelorettes, Brooklyn brewery tours, Manhattan nightlife crawls. Our chauffeurs are experienced with party logistics: designated driver, luggage, late-night pickups, and discrete check-ins.
Can I reserve the same Sprinter for recurring shuttles?
+
For corporate accounts with recurring schedules (daily, weekly, multi-week shuttle programs), we assign a lead chauffeur and consistent vehicle. Ad-hoc sprinter bookings are assigned from the full fleet based on availability and cabin requirements.
What if I need to cancel or reschedule?
+
Standard cancellation windows: 4 hours for sedans and SUVs, 24 hours for Sprinter and Executive Sprinter, and 72 hours for weddings and multi-day contracts. Reschedules are always free if rebooked in the same calendar month. See our Terms for specifics.
